Dear MBTA Families:
Joy and Peace to you and to your family during this Christmas Season!
The 2022 New Year is just days away. We continue to pray for God's blessings as the new year begins, and for the health, safety and well-being of our students, families and staff.
In less than a week, in-person classes will resume on Wednesday, January 5. The Office of Catholic Schools will be issuing new COVID guidelines later today. Please be sure to read the information before returning your student to school.
Because of the increase in the number of COVID cases, please help keep everyone safe by not sending your son or daughter to school if he or she does not feel well. It is better to get a COVID test than to risk your child becoming more seriously ill, and possibly infecting others. Together, we can keep everyone healthy and keep classes continuing in school. Thank you!
Please begin to gather and collect the necessary documents needed to apply for a tax credit scholarship thru Big Shoulders and Empower Illinois. Applications for the 2022-2023 school year will be open in January. More information will be coming to you in the next week or two.
We're excited to work with Bartons Chocolate this year! The chocolate bar sale is an opportunity for families to help pay the family mandatory fundraising fee of $300. The chocolate is really good and is fun to sell too.
The 23 eighth graders, under the supervision of Mr. Felipe Tilca, MBTA Technology teacher, will be traveling to the Johnson NASA Space Center in May. Thank you for your support of their continuing fundraising efforts, and to the local businesses that have partnered with MBTA to make this opportunity available to our students! If you would like to make a donation by check, please be sure to note NASA in the memo portion of your check. Thank you!
We look forward to welcoming everyone back after what we hope was a restful and enjoyable time with family and friends!
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
