Dear MBTA families and friends:

Happy U.S. Mother's Day (the second Sunday in May), and Happy Mexican Mother's Day (always on May 10 regardless of the day of the week) to all the women who have nurtured, loved and cared for children; birth moms, adoptive moms, grandmas, aunts, cousins, great grandmas, godmothers and all the women of the larger community! The hopes and dreams that have surrounded and comforted each of us in our lives, honors the history and heritage of the woman who birthed us as a daughter or son of God.

There has been a rise in the number of COVID and flu cases in the past two weeks. MBTA continues to be mask optional; however, if your child is not wearing a mask, please remind him or her to cough or sneeze away from others. We will all be reminded to wash our hands more frequently, use the hand sanitizer, and to not share water bottles, chapsticks, etc. Our custodial staff will begin sanitizing public areas once again. Safety and staying healthy is #1 for ourselves and each other!

The weather forecast is predicting very warm weather this week. Please be sure your child brings his/her water bottle to school and stays hydrated throughout the day.

So many of you took the time to thank your child's teachers this past week during Teacher Appreciation Week. Your gestures were so appreciated. Thank you!

Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.

Dr. Saccaro
